Our Journey

A History of Educational Excellence

The college was established under the Urdu Education Society Akola, an organisation founded in 1960 by the late Shri Khan Mohammad Asghar Husain, a former Member of Parliament for Akola. The society's mission to provide quality education to the Urdu-speaking community laid the foundation for this institution.

1960

Urdu Education Society Founded

Late Shri Khan Mohammad Asghar Husain, Lok Sabha member from Akola, establishes the Urdu Education Society with a vision for community education.

1977 – 1986

Expansion of Secondary Schools

The society establishes multiple secondary schools across Akola, serving thousands of students from the minority community.

1990

College of Education Established

K.M. Asghar Husain College of Education is founded, affiliated to S.G.B. Amravati University and approved by the NCTE, beginning its journey in teacher education.

2008

Jan Shikshan Sansthan

Vocational Education Centre established under the Ministry of Skill Development, expanding the society's reach into skill-based education.

Today

35+ Years of Excellence

The college continues to maintain its 100% pass record and expand its programmes, faculty development initiatives, and alumni network.
